EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- Deaconess has just cut the ribbon on the Tri-State's first ever combined emergency and urgent care facility.
Doctors say this is going to be something that provides families with 24/7 care. Located on Evansville's north side, the 19,000 square foot facility will give patients access to care around the clock.
The facility will have board-certified emergency physicians and on-site laboratory and radiology services including x-ray, ultrasound and a CT scanner. Deaconess officials say this project has been years in the making, making it easier and more affordable for people to get the right care.

"It'll be very easy for people to get in quickly. It can't take care of any of their problems, and then we will build them at the right level. So, if it is an urgent care problem, they'll get billed for an urgent care visit. If their problem requires emergency care services, more labs, imaging, more evaluation, they will get that emergency level bill. But it takes the guesswork out of it for the patient."
