GRAND FORKS — Four finalists will visit campus in October for the UND Nistler College of Business and Public Administration dean position.
According to the dean search page, the anticipated starting date for the new dean will be Jan. 1, “or as soon as reasonable thereafter.” Each finalist will meet with Nistler staff, faculty and students as well as participate in a campus and community open forum.

The search was
paused
earlier this year, as the search committee had not recommended extending an offer to any of the candidates. The previous dean, Amy Henley, departed last year to assume the position of dean at the University of Louisville’s College of Business.
The finalists from the relaunched search are Melissa Gruys, current interim Nistler Dean Patrick O’Neill, Lorenzo Patelli and Jacquelyn Rees Ulmer.
Ulmer is a professor of analytics and information systems and the former dean of the College of Business at Ohio University, with previous experience at the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University and the Krannert School of Management (now Mitchell E.
