The University of Delaware's men's golf squad has received the esteemed 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday. This recognition was awarded to a record 292 institutions across six divisions, including 75 Division I programs that achieved a team GPA of 3.5 or higher, earning them Presidents Special Recognition.
During the 2024-25 academic year, the Blue Hens men's golf team maintained a commendable average GPA of 3.68. They also stood out within the university's athletic department, achieving a 3.71 GPA in the fall semester and a 3.64 GPA in the spring. In July, three student-athletes—Matthew Homer, Casper Nerpin, and Egor Zubov—were honored as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for their academic excellence.
