Demetra Expands Spinal Solutions Portfolio with OrthoFundamentals Acquisition and New Global Division

Demetra has expanded its presence in the spinal surgery market through the strategic acquisition of OrthoFundamentals, a leading manufacturer based in the United States specializing in implants and sterile, single-use instrument kits for sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion procedures. Alongside this acquisition, Demetra introduced Demetra Spine, a new global division dedicated to advancing spinal surgical solutions with innovative, value-oriented technologies. This move builds upon Demetra's previous strategic investments, including a majority stake in GetSet Surgical, a Swiss company supplying sterile-packed single-use spine procedure kits, and the acquisition of assets from Bespoke Technologies, which provided sterile 3D-printed titanium implants for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF). Since its founding in 2016 with backing from Tecres and Keensight, Demetra has been focused on developing advanced biomaterials and surgical solutions.
