Derek Hough is navigating deep grief after the death of his beloved dog, Romie. On Sunday, October 25, the Dancing with the Stars judge revealed his pup's passing with a heartbreaking social media post.
Derek shared a video of Romie outside the home he shares with wife, former DWTS troupe member Hayley Erbert Hough, and their infant daughter, Everley, who will turn one in December. Over the footage of Romie slowly walking behind his favorite bush in the yard, Derek wrote, "I will love you forever."
"Romie came into my life when I was just trying to figure life out, it was just me and him," Derek shared in the caption of his post. "And for a long time, he was my constant. He saw me at my worst and at my best. He loved me through it all and somehow gave me purpose when I couldn't find it myself."
