Kids and their families got the chance to get up close and personal with some of their favorite big trucks and machines at the Diggers and Dumpers event at the Erie County Technical School on Saturday.
The event has grown over the years, with more organizations bringing their large trucks and equipment for kids to explore. Children could climb inside excavators, backhoes and dump trucks while learning more about how the machines are used every day.
The event also featured an equipment rodeo, where operators put their skills to the test as they navigated a series of obstacles.
The goal of the event was to educate children about the big trucks and equipment they see in their communities while giving them a chance to meet the people who operate them.
Kids could also take part in activities and enjoy snacks and drinks from local food trucks, making for a fun and educational day for the whole family.
