Dorothy M. Barrett, 97, of Conklin, New York, formerly of Scranton, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on September 13, 2026.
She was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Joseph W. Barrett; her sister, Ruth Barrett Judge, and Ruth’s husband, Richard Judge; her brothers, Dr. Joseph J. Barrett and Robert F. Barrett; and her godson, Duane Patrick Pei.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Joan Barrett King, and her husband, Thomas King, of Alamo, California; her sisters-in-law, Joan (Swift) Barrett, wife of the late Dr. Joseph J. Barrett, of Roswell, Georgia, and Nancy (Rosar) Barrett, wife of the late Robert F. Barrett, of Scotch Plains, New Jersey; her nephews, Thomas King, James King, Stephen Barrett, and Joseph Barrett; her niece, NanMarie (Barrett) Carino; twelve great-nieces and great-nephews; and Fr. Edward Owusu-Ansah of Ghana, whom Dorothy loved and regarded as a son. She is also survived by her dear friends Mardelle Vest, Melanie Snow, Cathy Minoia, and Fred Dolaway.
