Dragon Lights Festival returns to Reno with new 2026 themes
RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Dragon Lights Festival opens October 2 and runs through November 29 at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.
This marks the sixth year the nighttime lantern festival has returned to the Reno community, according to the event manager for Dragon Lights Reno.
The festival features three new themes this year: dinosaur world, African desert and Asian cultures.
The event manager said the goal is for visitors to explore and learn about different kinds of dinosaurs during the experience.
All lanterns at the festival are handmade using metal, steel, LED lights and fabric, according to the event manager. Visitors can touch and interact with the handmade artwork during the show.
