Square Enix has shared a new trailer for Dragon Quest Monsters The Withered World, which provides a light overview of the gameplay mechanics revealed thus far.
Transported to the Witherwood, Bianca and Nera are taught in the ways of the Monster Wrangler, and set out to save their ailing fathers and save the realm. The monsters they can recruit can be raised in strength and developed in their abilities and traits – and also synthesized into more powerful forms like in previous titles.
The trailer also provides a look at battles where Bianca and Nera’s monster parties battle cooperatively against massive bosses, but also competitively in online matches.

Dragon Quest Monsters The Withered World will release December 3, 2026 for $59.99 USD, and will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Microsoft Store. A free demo is now available.
