LEWISBURG — The East Buffalo Township Board has approved the pursuit of federal financial support to fund the fourth phase of its West Market Street Safety Improvement Initiative.
During the recent township meeting, officials agreed to proceed with a preliminary application for a Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TASA) grant, potentially securing up to $1.5 million. The proposed funds aim to develop sidewalks along West Market Street, spanning from 16th to 20th streets.
Draft versions of the application are due by September 5, with the final submission scheduled for October 31. This move signifies the township's commitment to enhancing pedestrian safety and infrastructure in the area.
