Ecowaste Solutions announces the acquisition of Taylor Waste Services, a family-owned hauler based in Cairo, GA, marking the company’s second acquisition in the state and its 13th since the merger. Ecowaste looks to merge its Decatur County operations into Taylor Waste, with service transitioning to Ecowaste effective September 21, 2026.
For more than 20 years, Taylor Waste Services has been the primary hauler serving Grady County, built by Chris and Julie Taylor into a trusted name across Cairo and the surrounding communities of South Georgia. The company runs 12 routes daily, serves approximately 4,500 commercial customers, three municipalities, and nearly 1,000 subscription accounts across the county. This acquisition is expected to facilitate additional growth into North Florida and Southwest Georgia, and to offer operational leverage with Ecowaste’s newly launched Columbia County, Florida, operations.
Owner Chris Taylor, along with the Taylor Waste drivers, is staying on with Ecowaste to guide the team through the transition, offering continuity, which Ecowaste points to as a sign of the strong relationships this team has built over two decades.
