Sources involved in the production told TMZ that stage construction was temporarily paused due to a massive nor’easter moving toward New England. Workers began assembling Sheeran’s stage on Sept. 24, but construction was paused later that day.
A nor’easter is expected to bring strong winds and rain beginning on the night of Sept. 25. The storm has raised concerns about safety at the open-air stadium and around the concert stage. A stadium representative said most preparations remain ongoing, while lighting is currently being tested. A final decision on the concerts has yet to be made.
