Egypt's food and agricultural imports reached approximately 345,000 tonnes over the course of a week, according to the National Food Safety Authority. During this period, around 2,060 food shipments were received from 910 companies, including staples such as wheat, various oils, local fava beans, and soybeans. Ukraine emerged as the leading exporter to Egypt, followed by Russia, Indonesia, and the United States, among a total of 84 supplying countries. The primary entry point for these imports was Alexandria Port, handling 660 shipments, with Cairo International Airport and Ain Sokhna Port processing 510 and 265 shipments respectively. Customs procedures saw 1,064 shipments cleared provisionally, while 475 benefited from expedited clearance. Additionally, incident reports were issued for 90 shipments, and 85 import licenses were granted. On the export front, Egypt shipped approximately 165,000 tonnes of food products across 3,810 shipments managed by 1,250 exporters. The exported goods spanned about 644 varieties, including vegetables, fruits, flour, and grain products.
