Electra raises $350m in upsized IPO to advance precision immune therapies
San Francisco-based biotech Electra Therapeutics has secured substantial funding to continue developing its lead candidate for secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.

The late clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company sold 23,333,334 shares of common stock at $15.00 per share, exceeding its original offering size and pricing at the midpoint of its anticipated range.
The firm granted underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 3.5 million shares at the public offering price, which could bring total proceeds even higher. Electra is expected to be listed on The Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol "ETRA.”
Electra is focused on a class of precision medicines designed to treat immune-mediated diseases and cancer. The company's approach targets signal regulatory proteins (SIRP), a family of cell surface receptors with expression restricted to specific immune cell populations that increases upon activation. This targeting strategy can enable selective depletion of disease-driving cells while preserving normal immune function.
