Elks Add Three to the Expanded Practice Roster

EDMONTON - The Edmonton Elks have added National offensive lineman Spencer Walsh, American offensive lineman Nash Jones, and American defensive lineman Jamil Muhammad to the practice roster, the club announced Tuesday.

Walsh (6'3, 294) was drafted by the Elks in the fourth round (32nd overall) in the 2026 CFL Draft, joining the club from the University of Laurier. In his four seasons with the Golden Hawks, he dressed in 26 games and was a 2025 OUA Second Team All-Star, 2024 Uteck Bowl Champion, and a 2024 Yates Cup Champion.

Jones (6'4, 314) joins the Elks after an excellent collegiate career split between Texas State (2023-24) and Incarnate Word (2020-22). As a member of the Incarnate Word Cardinals, Jones was named First team All-Southland Conference in 2021 and Second team All-Southland Conference in 2022. The 24-year-old transferred to Texas State in 2024, and was an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention and CSC Academic All-District in 2024 with the Bobcats.
