Emily Yacina Announces New Album Veilfall With Lead Single Talk Me Down

Emily Yacina, a musician from Long Beach, has announced her highly anticipated new album, "Veilfall," set for release on September 26. This marks her first major project in nearly six years since her album "Remember The Silver," along with a series of singles leading up to 2022's "All The Things." The album's debut single, "Talk Me Down," offers a gentle yet powerful sound—bright melodies shadowed by distant clouds. Yacina's vocals transition from delicate whispers to warm tones, embodying themes of vulnerability and comfort. The song was inspired by a beat from her close friend Trish McGowan, who shared a collection of her instrumentals. "Talk Me Down" explores the fear of opening up emotionally, a central theme of the album. Collaborations with producers Charlie Brand and Jonnie Baker, along with contributions from Gia Margaret, Oliver Hill, and Cameron Wisch, helped shape the album's sound. During the album's creation, Yacina also hosted intimate "death-themed salons" at an LA bookstore, encouraging open discussions on mortality and its impact on personal relationships.
