During a recent interaction with her new sponsor, Uniqlo, Raducanu revealed that Andre Agassi’s autobiography, Open, has been helping her navigate the difficult phase of her own career. The book chronicles Agassi’s remarkable journey through the highs and lows of professional tennis, including his dramatic return to the top after a prolonged slump.
For Raducanu, there was something particularly familiar about Agassi’s struggles.
Raducanu said she was especially drawn to the section detailing how Agassi rebuilt himself in the late 1990s after falling into a significant slump.
“Open describes what Agassi was up to and how he built his career in startling detail. I was especially intrigued by the passage where he got out of his slump in the late 1990s by creating his own training regimen and finding his way back to the top,” Raducanu said during her interaction with Uniqlo.
