ETSU Researchers Award $3.7 Million to Expand Behavioral Health Training Programs
Faculty members at East Tennessee State University are spearheading initiatives to enhance the behavioral health workforce across Northeast Tennessee, aiming to address the region's growing mental health needs. These initiatives are supported by two substantial grants totaling $3.7 million from the Bureau of Health Workforce, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Led by Drs. Rachel Miller-Slough, Aubrey Dueweke, and Alyson Chroust from the ETSU Department of Psychology, the funds will improve training opportunities for doctoral students in clinical psychology, with a special focus on substance use treatment competencies.
