Fairview Town Council Passes Budget, Agrees To Work With Hurley On Water Tank Location
The Fairview Town Council voted on various resolutions and the first reading of Ordinance 379 to repeal and replace zoning regulations and official maps at the town council meeting on Sept. 9. The council also hashed out an agreement with Fairview resident Vess Hurley on the gifting of land for Fairview’s water tank replacement.
Public Hearings Held & Resolutions Passed
Resolution 609 - Ellery Avenue Street Lighting: The assessment remains unchanged at $35 per lot for business lighting.
Resolution 610 - Residential Lighting: The assessment remains unchanged at $0.0251 per square foot.
Resolution 611- SID No. 16 Street Sweeping: The assessment remains unchanged at $0.025 per square foot. However, expenses are exceeding revenue, and an increase may be needed next year.
Resolution 612 - Street Maintenance: The assessment remains at $0.01 per square foot for properties adjacent to city streets and alleys. This does not include mobile home parks with privately owned streets.
