Square Enix has shared the Tokyo Game Show 2026 trailer for Final Fantasy Resonance, a new HD-2D RPG based on the world of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. The trailer is a vignette of scenes from throughout the story, providing some snippets that may shed some insight into its themes and plot.
Recently, Square Enix released a free demo on all platforms that contains the Prologue and Chapter 1, with the option to carry progress over to the retail version (provided you purchase it on the same platform as your demo save.)
We also checked out a different area of Resonance in our preview, which tasked the party with venturing into the Wind Shrine.

Final Fantasy Resonance will release October 22, 2026 for $49.99 USD, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S. A free demo is available today.
