First Alert: We’re turning warmer with more sunshine, but rain chances rise again this weekend
The next few days give us a chance to dry out and warm up, but more rain appears to be on the way this weekend
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Decreasing cloud cover should bring more sunshine and warmer temperatures to the region over the next several days, but wetter weather is once again looming in the not-too-distant future.
While some rain continues to fall across southeast Alabama, we’re continuing to dry out closer to home in the River Region. After a cloudy to mostly cloudy day yesterday, those clouds should be breaking up and giving us more sunshine over central Alabama as our Tuesday unfolds. More sunshine means warmer temperatures, and we should see enough of that sunshine to warm afternoon highs into the lower and middle 80s. Some locations farther south, especially in the Wiregrass, likely still see highs in the middle to upper 70s as that rain continues to slowly clear out but cloudy to mostly cloudy skies stick around. Skies will continue to clear across the area tonight as lows dip into the lower and middle 60s.
