Florida Engineering Leadership Recognized: David Gwynn and Peers Honored by ACEC Florida

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida (ACEC Florida) has recognized Tampa-based engineer David W. Gwynn as the state's top engineering leader. This accolade highlights Gwynn's exceptional contributions and leadership within Florida's engineering community. Previously serving as the Secretary of Florida's Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 for eight years and co-founding TEI Engineers & Planners, Gwynn has played a significant role in advancing infrastructure projects across the state. In addition to Gwynn's recognition, ACEC Florida honored several other professionals, including Kari Pucker from Jacksonville, named Young Professional of the Year for her innovative work in transportation safety; HNTB Corp., awarded the Professional Development Award for its extensive contributions to transportation infrastructure; and Carlos A. Penin, named as an ACEC Florida Fellow for his four decades of engineering and leadership excellence.
