The Fontana Planning Commission recently approved a plan for a 54- unit multifamily housing development located on Malaga Street, east of Mango Avenue and west of Sierra Avenue. Associate Planner Alejandro Rico delivered the presentation to the commissioners, detailing the features of the units and other project logistics.
“Property owners within 660 feet were noticed and it was noticed in the paper,” Rico said, speaking about the project site. “Staff received no comments.”
The proposed 54-unit multifamily housing community will be located on approximately two acres of land at 17031 Malaga Street — comprising eight three-story buildings. According to the staff report, each unit stands at three stories high and will include three bedrooms which range in size between 1,411 and 1,502 square feet. Additionally, the units will have a tandem two-car garage, living room and a balcony on the third floor.
