Frayle Unveil Their Third Studio Album 'Heretics & Lullabies' with New Single Release

Cleveland's doom metal ensemble, Frayle, has announced the impending release of their third full-length album, titled "Heretics & Lullabies." Scheduled for release in October via Napalm Records, this album follows their 2022 release, "Skin & Sorrow." The band collaborated with producer Aaron Chaparian at Iron Audio to record, mix, and master the album, aiming to expand their signature sound described as "lullabies of chaos." The new record blends dark occult themes, blackgaze influences, ethereal vocals, intense guitars, and atmospheric alternative rock. In conjunction with the announcement, Frayle has released a cover of Lana Del Rey's hit "Summertime Sadness," which serves as the second single from the album, following last month's release of "Walking Wounded." The band shared their thoughts on the cover, stating, "We've always appreciated songwriting infused with melancholy across genres. Hearing 'Summertime Sadness' for the first time was impactful for us. The producer's addition of a pause before the chorus made it clear we had something special."
