There’s a free Shred Day event planned for Saturday in Alton. State Senator Erica Harriss and State Representative Amy Elik are co-sponsors of the event to be held at the Alton VFW on North Alby Street. Paper documents will be accepted for safe and secure destruction.
You can simply pull up, and staff will assist you with your documents. Cardboard boxes used to transport documents will be returned to each person. The shredding company will accept a maximum of three bankers’ boxes per person. The Shred Day event will take place Saturday from 11am to 12:30pm at 4445 North Alby Street in Alton.
