Fabius 4-H member Emily Bowman earns National 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador honor
TAYLOR, Mo. — Emily Bowman, daughter of Daryn and Amy Bowman of Taylor, is a junior at Palmyra High School. As a nine-year member of the Fabius 4-H Club, Bowman has built a strong record of service and leadership, serving as club president, vice president and secretary. She has also transformed her passion for archery into a national leadership opportunity.
Over the years, Bowman has explored projects ranging from breads, photography, visual arts, and bacon to shooting sports disciplines including recurve archery, compound archery and .22 rifle. She plans to expand her shooting sports experience by competing in trap and pistol.
In March 2026, Emily was selected as a Missouri 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador, a role focused on promoting 4-H, advancing shooting sports and developing youth leadership. She was later chosen by her Missouri peers to attend the National 4-H Shooting Sports Leadership Institute at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Georgia, where she joined 37 teens from 21 states for specialized training in leadership, public speaking, citizenship, community service, public relations and team build...
