Gas Prices Jump in Every State

Gasoline prices jumped in every U.S. state “with no relief in sight”, GasBuddy warned in a blog posted on its website on Monday.

GasBuddy noted in its blog post that, according to its data, the nation’s average price of gasoline rose 17.2 cents over the last week and stood at $4.25 per gallon. The national average was up 19.0 cents from a month ago and was $1.14 per gallon higher than a year ago, GasBuddy highlighted.

The most common U.S. gas price encountered by motorists was $3.99 per gallon, “unchanged from a week ago”, followed by $4.19, $3.89, $4.29, and $4.09, GasBuddy revealed in the blog. The median U.S. gas price is $4.11 per gallon, up 22 cents from last week and about 14 cents lower than the national average, the blog pointed out.

The states with the lowest average prices comprised Indiana, at $3.58 per gallon, Texas, at $3.84 per gallon, and Oklahoma, at $3.85 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s blog, which outlined that the states with the highest average prices comprised California, at $5.95 per gallon, Washington, at $5.50 per gallon, and Hawaii, at $5.33 per gallon.
