GCC Secretary General Engages with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Al-Budaiwi, met with Azerbaijan's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Shahin Abdullayev, at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh. During their discussion, they explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations and addressed regional and global issues of mutual concern. The Azerbaijani ambassador delivered an official invitation from President Ilham Heydar Aliyev, inviting the GCC Secretary General to attend the upcoming World Urban Forum in Azerbaijan in May 2026, organized in partnership with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.
