When it comes to inspiring the next generation, nothing compares to real-world, hands-on experience.
Gellings Roofing & Siding recently hosted an interactive community event designed to expose local youth to rewarding career opportunities in the skilled trades while making a lasting difference right here in our community.
Instead of just sitting back and listening, kids got their hands dirty alongside local industry professionals. The event featured dedicated stations across several trades, each led by experienced experts:
Roofing, Windows, Gutters: Led by the team at Gellings Roofing & Siding
Plumbing: Led by Hydro Plumbing
HVAC: Led by Four Seasons Comfort
Carpentry: Led by Habitat for Humanity
At each station, kids received direct guidance and supervision as they participated in practical tasks, from experiencing roof tear-offs and HVAC brazing to working together to install a window.
