Women's Volleyball 10/30/2026 9:35:00 PM Georgetown Drops Four-Set Decision to Friars WASHINGTON – Georgetown volleyball fell 3-1 to Providence (25-14, 25-16, 23-25, 25-17) on Friday night at Alumni Hall. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 12-10 overall and 4-7 in the BIG EAST, while the Friars improve to 13-9 overall and 5-6 in the conference. Providence took control early, opening with a 12-7 advantage. Georgetown trimmed the deficit to a single point, but the Friars regained their rhythm to claim the opening set, 25-16. The Friars jumped out to a 5-0 start in the second frame until a block and kill from Katherine McGregor sparked a 5-2 response to bring the Hoyas within striking distance. As the set progressed, Providence kept Georgetown at bay, extending its lead by as many as six to earn another 25-16 win. Kills from Kamryn Lee-Caracci and McGregor fueled a 5-1 start to the third set for Georgetown. The Friars rallied to take an 11-10 advantage, but the Hoyas outscored Providence 5-2 to hold a 15-13 lead at the media break. Both sides traded runs before a Juleigh Urbina ace and a McGregor kill closed out the 25-23 victory. Avery Lewis led the Hoyas with five kills in the frame. ...
