"Survival Protocol" is a conceptual album narrating the story of a solitary hero navigating a post-nuclear apocalypse. Building upon themes from their earlier work "Annihilation of Mankind," the narrative reaches its climax here. The story picks up where "Homo Deus" left off: a divine being descends from the sky, igniting a fierce struggle for dominance over Earth. Humanity is nearly eradicated, with some survivors escaping into space. After a lengthy voyage, they discover a new planet suitable for colonization, and the album chronicles their efforts to establish a new home.
