EXTON, PA — Girls Exploring Tomorrow’s Technology® (GETT) will hold its annual free educational expo this fall to inspire girls to learn about careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Hosted by the Innovative Technology Action Group (ITAG), an initiative of the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC), GETT is now in its 26th year and has connected thousands of girls with hands-on STEM experiences and industry role models. GETT invites girls in grades 4-10 to participate in this free event on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks.
“Events such as GETT help make science and technology approachable, not intimidating,” said Daisy Adams, GETT Chair and Senior Director, Digital Operations and NOC at Bentley Systems. “We have seen this one-day experience become so popular over the years, giving girls an opportunity to have fun while learning about future careers they may not have envisioned on their own.
