The Carbon Emissions Index (CEI), which monitors emissions on the top 13 international shipping routes, has fallen below 100 points for the first time in a year, registering at 97.4 in the second quarter of 2025. This marks a 4.5% reduction from the previous quarter and a 7% decrease from the peak of 104.8 points recorded in late 2024.
