MESA COUNTY, Colo. ( KREX ) - A Grand Junction man was arrested after he reportedly trespassed into a residence twice and broke two doors during one attempt.
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office responded around 9:30 p.m. Sunday to a disturbance on the 600 block of Bear Valley Court in Grand Junction. Deputies met with witnesses at a nearby address, learning that a drunk man known to a resident of the home entered the property and started causing a disturbance.
Deputies removed the man, 39-year-old Michael Salazar, from the house without incident at the resident's request, according to the sheriff's office.
Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement However, about two hours later, deputies responded to the address again when Salazar had reportedly re-entered the home. Salazar allegedly ran from deputies but was quickly located and taken into custody.
Deputies also learned that Salazar reportedly broke two doors to get inside the home.
He was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility and booked for two counts of first-degree criminal trespass of an inhabited dwelling, second-degree criminal tampering, criminal mischief ($300 to $1,000), domestic violence and second-...
