Greece is seeking to strengthen its presence in the French tourism market, expand air connectivity, extend the tourism season and develop new partnerships for 2027.
Greek National Tourism Organisation (EOT) Secretary General Andreas Fiorentinos held a series of meetings at the IFTM Top Resa tourism trade show in Paris, held from September 15 to 17.
Accompanied by Emi Anagnostopoulou, director of the EOT’s France office, Fiorentinos met with senior executives from Air France and Transavia France to discuss the performance of the Greek market, demand from France and prospects for expanding air connections to Greek destinations.
During the meeting with Transavia, the two sides confirmed the inclusion of Crete in the airline’s winter 2026-27 flight schedule, reflecting the ongoing and growing cooperation between the EOT and Transavia France.
The talks placed particular emphasis on the EOT’s strategy to extend the tourism season and increase travel to Greece beyond the peak summer months.
Officials also discussed enriching the visitor experience and promoting more lesser-known Greek destinations to French travellers.
