Guilty plea nets Aberdeen man 10 years in prison
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An Aberdeen man will spend the next 10 years in prison for trafficking drugs.
50-year-old Don Gilleyen pleaded guilty in Monroe County Circuit Court to charges of trafficking a controlled substance, cocaine.
The charges stem from a 2023 case.
Gilleyen was sentenced to 30 years with 20 suspended , leaving 10 years to serve. Due to the nature of the offense, he will have to serve those 10 years day-for-day without the possibility of parole or early release.
He also pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a separate case and was sentenced to 20 years to run consecutively with
the drug sentence.
