Gujarat Approves Over Rs 4,179 Crore for Urban Development Projects in 2025
MENAFN- IANS) Ahmedabad, August 3 — The Gujarat government has sanctioned a comprehensive development fund exceeding Rs 4,179 crore to enhance urban infrastructure across various cities and towns as part of the 'Urban Development Year – 2025' initiative.
These investments, authorized under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, will benefit seven municipal corporations—including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Gandhinagar, and newly established entities like Morbi, Porbandar, and Nadiad—as well as twelve municipalities such as Visnagar, Patan, Una, Halvad, Savarkundla, and Dhanera.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasized the goal of creating 'citizen-centric' cities that prioritize smart infrastructure, sustainability, and inclusive growth. Out of the total fund, Rs 3,768 crore is allocated for infrastructure projects.
