BOSTON — The top operations person in the state Transportation Department is stepping in as interim highway administrator as Jonathan Gulliver departs to lead the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority.
MassDOT Chief Operating Officer Meghan Haggerty has been COO since February 2023 and before that was the chief administrative officer for MassDOT's highway division, according to her LinkedIn page. On Wednesday night, Haggerty posted: "I'm happy to share that I'm starting a new position as Interim State Highway Administrator at MassDOT!"
