Halldale Expands Training Fleet with New Flight Simulator Contract

Halldale is expanding its training capabilities with a new flight simulator order. The International Flight Academy (IFA) in Portugal has recently contracted FTD.aero to develop, deliver, and install a B73M FNPT II MCC flight training device at Viseu Airport. This state-of-the-art simulator will incorporate upgraded features and authentic aircraft components to replicate a twin-jet cockpit, providing students with a highly realistic training environment. Following a thorough evaluation and successful testing on an existing FTD.aero simulator, the new device is designed to meet EASA FNPT II MCC standards, with certification anticipated by early 2026. Once qualified, it will be utilized for Airline Pilot Standard (APS) MCC training, supporting IFA's mission to prepare cadets for multi-crew airline operations with modernized systems that mirror current commercial aircraft.
