The event was sponsored by Mindy Miller, owner of Waggers & Swaggers, with all proceeds going to support Hill Country Animal Rescue (HCAR) in Fredericksburg.
Ten canine contestants and their humans competed for “Waggin Rights” and Woofawesome prize packages while families from across the Hill Country enjoyed the passing parade. The Grand Prize went to Gracie Belle as “SpiderDog” owned by Kim and Brent who traveled from Fort Worth for the event. “Best of Show” was awarded to Lilo the “Island Dog,” proudly paraded by owner Roxane. Celebrity judges included Bobbie Truelove, Tara Hutchison and Shelby Perkins.
Volunteers, staff and board members from HCAR included Alison, Kate, Cathy and Lisa along with adoptable pups Crowley, Archie and Charlotte. These loveable furry creatures are looking for forever homes for the holidays and can be viewed on the website at www.hillcountryanimalrescue.org.
