HENDERSON, Ky. — A Henderson County middle school student has been charged after police said the student created and distributed sexually explicit AI-generated images involving middle school students.
The Henderson Police Department said it had completed an investigation into the incident and arrested a juvenile, who was lodged at a juvenile detention center.
On Thursday of last week, Henderson police officers received a report concerning AI-generated nude photographs of juveniles that had allegedly been created and shown to other students.
Following an investigation, officers located and identified AI-generated photographs depicting two minor victims on a digital device. A report on the investigation was filed later that day..
A juvenile suspect was lodged at the Juvenile Detention Center and faces charges of distribution of sexually explicit images without consent; two counts of possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor age 12 to under 18; and distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor age 12 to under 18.
HPD said no further information would be released due to the age of the victims and alleged offender.
