Historic Piney Point Lighthouse Celebrates National Lighthouse Weekend with Free Tours

Celebrating National Lighthouse Weekend, the weekend of August 2nd and 3rd offered visitors a unique opportunity to explore a historic maritime site in St. Mary's County. Piney Point Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse on the Potomac River, welcomed guests with complimentary tours of its tower, keeper's quarters, and the Potomac River Maritime exhibit. This event marked the first Saturday and Sunday of August as part of the National Lighthouse Weekend festivities.
