In a few short days, the voters of Harrison County will be heading to the polls. One of the initiatives that will be on the ballot is a measure dealing with the Historic Preservation Alliance of Harrison County. If approved by our voters, this will provide limited funds for historic preservation within the county.
Some voters will ask why should we provide tax money to support old things? What is the value added to our county from this preservation? Is it worth it? I don’t even like history, so why should I vote for something like this?
