Hope’s Wingsn — a Madison County non-profit that provides shelter for women and families that have experienced domestic violence — held its third Mountain Moonlight Gala fundraiser on Sept. 19.
The gala comes at a busy time for the non-profit. Hope’s Wings has provided emergency shelter for 68 women and children this year alone. They’ve also answered 650 crisis calls and provided rent-support to 22 families. Over 400 emergency protection orders filed in Madison County in that same time-frame.
