Huskies Conclude Action at Mary Fossum Invitational Women's Golf | September 21 EAST LANSING, Mich.—Dakota Tallent (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman) led the Northern Illinois University Women's Golf team at the Mary Fossum Invitational, hosted by Michigan State. Due to inclement weather conditions, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes. Tallent, who carded a birdie on the final hole of the first round, was four over par after 18 holes. Tallent made par 11 times in the final round as she claimed a top-25 finish. Christine Huse (Bærum, Norway/Norwegian Top Athlete School), Emile Chile (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound) each carded one birdie over two rounds while Thanaporn (Benzy) Buakong (Nonthaburi, Thailand/Yothinburana School) carded three birdies in the tournament. Nethra Sheri (Irving, Texas/Coppell) carded a pair of birdies in the second round as she rounded out action for the Huskies. NIU returns to the golf course on September 28-29 as they compete at the Diane Thomason Invitational, hosted by the University of Iowa. Action will take place at the Davenport Country Club.
