After breaking his streak of 51 races without a Cup Series win, Kyle Larson has spoken about how he feels about outside noise as a driver.
The Hendrick Motorsport driver’s terrific win last week helped him not only end his long streak, but also put him only nine points behind Denny Hamlin, who currently holds the first position.
With eight more races to go, it has certainly opened things up for him, and the other NASCAR drivers who are in pursuit of winning the championship.
Denny Hamlin is the driver who Larson is currently trailing, but with a special night in Bristol, he could also get the job done.
Ahead of the crucial race on Sunday, Larson was asked about the ‘Kyle Larson is good again’ posters, and the two-time Cup Series champion has a solid response.
“I feel like I’ve raced long enough that I’ve seen it go like that,” Larson said.
“When you win, you’ve got all these fans that jump on and are like ‘See!? I told you he’s good!’ and this and that. And then I could literally go out there and do something stupid today or tomorrow and it completely flips like ‘No, he sucks’ and all that.”
