A mother from Massachusetts made a startling confession and is currently facing allegations of strangling her children in a similar fashion to Lindsay Clancy, who was embroiled in a high-profile trial after killing her three kids.

The 49-year-old mom, Janette MacAusland, who is a massage therapist and acupuncturist, showed up at her aunt’s residence in Vermont in April 2026 in a frantic state.
Law enforcement in Bennington, Vermont, was called to the address and found the woman with a neck injury and visible bleeding.
“She was hysterical. I brought her into my house. She had knocked on a window to get my attention and I could see that she had a large cut on her throat,” MacAusland’s aunt said in her statement to the police.
