Starting with JC Davis, he is currently battling plantar fasciitis. Ayden Knapik has sustained a knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for 7 to 10 days, though Bielema remains hopeful for his recovery.
Unfortunately, two players will miss the upcoming season due to injuries. "JJ Hirdes, a promising offensive lineman, had an injury in high school and couldn't participate in spring practices. He has since suffered a similar injury to the other knee, which means he’ll be out this fall," Bielema explained. Additionally, freshman Grant Smith will not be on the field for medical reasons, though specifics were not disclosed.
"Hirdes and Smith are the only players projected to miss the season because of injury," Bielema stated. He also mentioned the possibility of adding two extra players to the roster to compensate for these absences.
