Long before Oliver Blume took the helm of Europe’s largest automaker, his career was quietly intertwined with the rise of modern Chinese industry.
Born in Braunschweig in the German federal state of Lower Saxony in 1968, Blume began his thirty-year career within the Volkswagen family when he joined Audi in 1994 after earning a master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
