GREENVILLE — An investigation by the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force led to the arrest of a Greenville man Thursday on multiple felony charges.
In June 2026, Indiana State Police investigators began an investigation after receiving information from an out-of-state resident concerning the alleged possession of child sexual abuse material.
During the investigation in July, investigators seized a cellular device from Joseph A. Jackson, 52, of Greenville. Following a digital forensic examination of the device, investigators obtained a search warrant for Jackson’s residence in Greenville. Investigators also obtained an arrest warrant for Jackson.
On Sept. 17, investigators executed the search warrant at the Greenville residence. Later that same day, Jackson was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Greenville and remanded to the Floyd County Jail.
Jackson faces the following preliminary charges:
● Possession of child sexual abuse material, Level 6 felony (seven counts)
● Bestiality, Level 6 felony (one count)
